Best dim sum spot in SF hands down. I’ve been coming here for about 20 years and it’s still the same great quality and prices. 2 people can eat well for the price of a single dim sum order at an overrated dim sum restaurant.

When we got here they were unfortunately out of most of their food. But we got a shrimp, chicken and beef dumplings, a chicken boa, a sticky rice with pork, vegetable egg rolls, and red bean mochi. The only thing that was really note worthy was the sticky rice, it was very tasty and filling. Nothing was amazing but everything was good and the price was awesome.

If you want dim sum fast this is the place to go. Stroll on up, order, and eat on the go. One side they serve dim sum and the other side you can order classic Chinese dishes. It is a cash only place.

I've been going here for decades and it's the only place I'll go for quality dim sum to go. They make a special type which my grandmother used to make and I've never found any other shop in this country or any other that carries it. Note... I've lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing and Guangzhou... so I've been around and know good quality dim sum. The ladies there are helpful and speak enough English to get by. Just like what you'd find on the streets of Hong Kong. If you don't speak Chinese, don't worry.... just point and tell them how many orders you want. Cash only and the que can go out the door during busy times. On the other side, is a buffet of assorted ready made Chinese food to do. Great deal for 2 or 3 items plus noodles or rice dish. Just know what you're buying and like any buffet style heating systems, if the items have been under the lights too long... it can over cook and/or dry things out. Parking is usually not an issue, but it depends on when you go. I love that you can get in and out quickly even when I order $100-200 worth of dim sum for our family parties!

Happy Bakery has many friendly people working there, and the dim sum and Chinese fast food are pretty good. The store has two sections. The section on the left is my favorite dim sum section. They have many different dim sum for the reasonable prices. The Chinese fast food section is more like Panda Express. You can see what you want, and they scoop it into the box. Both sides are quick and yummy!

Came here for cheap dim sum to go. Here it is almost 3x cheaper AND some items are twice the size of the restaurant dim sum. Behind the dim sum is another room with hot items like rice and noodles. Will have to check that out next time. CASH ONLY. For $25.00 I got: 2x shrimp chive dumpling 2x giant sticky rice in lotus leaf 2x siu mai 3x ha gao 3x turnip cake Tasted average but good deal! I froze some for the next time I have a dim sum craving.

It’s called Happy Bakery but it’s mostly Dim Sum and food to go. I don’t eat much veggies but they have the best string bean chicken with tofu. This is a must-try! Dim Sum on the other side is also good with their Siopao & Sesame Balls. An order of combination over rice was only $6 but I guess inflation got in the way. Still worth coming for those string bean!
